Arthritis Treatment— Six Arthritis Diets That Work

Tip! Herbs and supplements are the natural remedies that more people are turning to for a complementary therapy to an arthritis treatment. Although most people that suffer from arthritis know that there is no real cure for it, do know there are other arthritis treatments, like this one, that will help control the pain and other symptoms by taking a supplement or an extract.

Arthritis treatment using diet is one of the most popular and successful types of arthritis treatment.

Here I describe 6 types of arthritis diets that are effective as arthritis treatment strategies.

1. The underlying causes of arthritis for many people is food sensitivities. If you are one of these people, finding out your exact food sensitivities and eliminating these problem foods from your diet can work miracles. The ALCAT blood test is one way to discover if you have any food sensitivities and if so, exactly what they are. Selectively eliminating any suspected problem foods from your diet for a week and then systematically reintroducing them, with at least 24 hours between each reintroduction, is another.

2. Specific foods have anti-inflammatory properties. Including the spices tumeric, ginger, and cumin in your diet, for instance, calm inflammation without the negative side effects of many prescription arthritis drugs.

3. Poor digestion is another underlying cause of arthritis. Healing the digestive tract can often heal arthritis. The types of bacteria that flourish in a health digestive system are called probiotics. Taking probiotic pills or eating foods rich in probiotics (such as miso, homemade sauerkraut, live culture yogurt and kefir, and kim chi) are one way to bring the digestive tract into a state of greater health. This is especially true if you have ever taken antibiotics, even years ago.

Tip! Although there is no cure for arthritis, proper treatment can help tremendously. The goal of arthritis treatment is to relieve the pain and stiffness due to the progressive destruction caused by inflammation, and to maintain or increase freedom of movement.

4. Cabbage and cabbage juice contain a type of protein called mucins that coat the stomach and allow it to heal. Gelatin also has stomach healing properties, for the same reason.

5. A good broth made wine or vinegar in the broth to extract the gelatin and other joint building components of cartilage (such as chondroitin and glucosamine) from soup bones, is one cheap and very healing arthritis treatment. Sliced pork trotters, beef feet, rib bones, chicken carcasses and feet, and whole fish are all good starting materials for making arthritis treatment broths. Simmer the bones slowly for 4-24 hours to extract the maximum amount of arthritis healing nutrients. These broths are much cheaper and tastier than buying the same thing in pill form.

Tip! This type of arthritis treatment is two fold. First you most know exactly what your problem foods are.

6. Arthritis is a disease of acidity. The body become acidic when we eat too much protein and carbohydrate, especially refined carbohydrates like sugar and white flour. Eating 80% of the diet as vegetables is a healthy way to bring the body back into the correct pH range. Once it comes back into the correct range, arthritis will often disappear.

If you are highly acidic, it may take several months or even a year or longer on an alkalizing diet (one high in vegetables, low in protein and carbohydrates) to reestablish a stable, healthy pH balance.

Tip! Some natural arthritis treatments that are easily obtained and have been proven to work both recently and over the years.

Substitute alfalfa and other teas which are alkalizing, for coffee and soft drinks which contribute to acidity.

It takes a while to neutralize all the excess acidity stored in the body. This is why some people have arthritis treatment success by going on a largely vegetarian diet for a year or more and resuming a vegetarian diet for a while whenever they feel like the arthritis might be starting to come back.

You can test your pH by swallowing several times first thing in the morning before you have eaten anything or had anything to drink. Then spit onto a piece of litmus paper. Ideally the pH of your saliva should be around 7 to 7.2. You can purchase litmus paper for testing the pH of saliva and/or urine in most health food stores.

CONCLUSION

Even if you are going the conventional arthritis treatment route, incorporating these arthritis treatment diet strategies can make a big difference in how well you feel.

Arthritis Treatment - What Works

Tip! For arthritis treatment, the most compatible amino acid source is animal cartilage, including porcine, borvine cartilages and young chicken keel. Joint TLC is one of such products (www.

I have spent over 15 years of my life studying arthritis treatment in order to master arthritis treatment secrets, understand arthritis treatment intricacies, and update my knowledge according to the developments in the field. I present the several important principles I have learned about arthritis treatment in this simple, enjoyable, and interesting article. What took me years to know will only take you a few minutes. Read on!

For most people, arthritis treatment using the state of the art arthritis treatment as offered by the top medical doctors in the country will only get you so far.

Arthritis treatment drugs can suppress your symptoms, but they will not heal your arthritis. At best, they will slow down or temporarily stop the damage being done to your joints, giving you time to seek out alternative arthritis treatments that heal the underlying condition. At worst, they will produce side effects that can sometimes be as bad as the arthritis itself.

Tip! If your dog is diagnosed with canine arthritis, you have several options of treatment. Canine arthritis treatments include exercise, diet, supplements, and/or pain control medication.

Joint replacement surgery is a godsend to many, but again, that isn’t really treating the arthritis, it is recreating a functional joint after arthritis has already destroyed one you were born with.

What type of arthritis treatment actually treats the underlying causes of the disease?

Diet is one of the most popular and successful types of arthritis treatment.

One of the underlying causes of arthritis for many people is food sensitivities. If you are one of these people, arthritis treatment first proceeds by finding out your exact food sensitivities. Then you need to eliminate these problem foods from your diet. This type of arthritis treatment strategy can often work miracles.

The ALCAT blood test is one way to discover if you have any food sensitivities and if so, exactly what they are. Selectively eliminating any suspected problem foods from your diet for a week and then systematically reintroducing them, with at least 24 hours between each reintroduction, is another.

Tip! Acupuncture and acupressure are both ancient Chinese treatments for pain relief. They are gaining popularity in the United States as a complementary therapy to any arthritis treatment used today.

This type of arthritis treatment is two fold. First you most know exactly what your problem foods are. Second, you must know all the hidden sources of these foods, so you don’t unknowingly eat them.

For instance, table salt is half dextrose, half salt. The dextrose in the United States is made from corn. Individuals with corn sensitivities will sometimes have their arthritis activated whenever they eat food that contains table salt.

Besides foods to avoid, there are also healthy foods to seek out. Assuming you don’t have a food sensitivity to them, you will want to eat foods that have anti-inflammatory properties. Including the spices tumeric, ginger, and cumin in your diet, for instance, can calm inflammation without the negative side effects of many prescription arthritis drugs.

Tip! Natural arthritis treatments are treatments which come 100% from the environment, and they are virtually free of side effects unless you happen to be allergic to the particular plant.

At age 25, Barbara Allan developed arthritis similar to rheumatoid arthritis. Within a few years she was in electric cart. She is now arthritis free and writes about arthritis treatment that works, as well as publishes the expert advice of others also on the topic of arthritis treatment.
